Dancehall News from Germany

Everybody is talkin bout Peter Fox and his new Album Stadtaffe but the german Album of the year comes from the other side of the republic and it's made by Munichs UWE KAA. Founding member of the Roots Rockers Soundsystem, with Big Tunes in his program like Tanzen und Schreien, Dancehall Story and Wunderschön.



Now he's comin out with his first solo Album "Endlich Single" where he is backed by the Oneness Band, the Scrucialists and gettin remixed by Londons Jstar. After ending his Major Deal the Album is released on Irievibration Records and it's fully loaded with Tunes spreading deep vibes. The perfect Album for a lazy Sunday morning, mostley on relaxed Roots Reggae Riddims and a few Dancehall Vibes. He's chattin his Storys direct outa life and he does it in german without any painfull moments.(Haffi know that we germans have a little problem with our language)

My favorites: "Nie genug" inna nice 90s Style, "Freundin" with hot lyrics explanin why he's Single again and "Mein Ganja" on a freaky Dancehall Riddim and this album got more potential Summer Hits for the Next Season !!

Alton Ellis passes away
Sad news original from Trojan Records 11.10.2008

Today the music world mourns the passing of Reggae legend Mr. Rocksteady Alton Ellis, who passed away last night after a long struggle against the effects of lymphatic cancer.

As recently reported, Alton had been admitted into hospital after collapsing at a show at London’s 100 Club in August and sadly, despite intensive care, was never able to regain his health.

His talent and influence was immense and his loss will be felt by all those who ever had the pleasure of his company. A kind and modest man, he always had time for his family, friends and fans, and his loss is a terrible blow not only to Jamaican music, but to the world at large.
